Some ants create satellite nests that collect food for the main nest. The queen will remain safe and untouched in a separate nest. If the satellite nest is destroyed, the queen could simply create another one in the same place. Fox has the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively provide ant control in Hudson Valley.
Carpenter ants use their massive jaws to carve tunnels in wood. Although they don’t eat the wood as termites do, they can cause serious damage to your home if left untreated.
Ants that sting. Some ants have a painful sting, almost like a wasp sting. Fire ants, harvester ants, and oak ants are among those that live in the United States.
Carpenter ants. Carpenter ants can carve tunnels and galleries through virtually any kind of wood, causing major structural damage.
Some ants, like the aggressive red imported fire ants, deliver a painful sting as well as a bite. This sting has often been compared to a wasp or bee sting and can be a serious problem for those with an allergy to insect stings.
The main difference is the size. While most ants are about 1/8 inch long, carpenter ant workers are closer to 1/2 inch, about 4 times bigger. Carpenter ants can vary in color, from solid black, to orange, red and black, yellow, or solid red.
Kevin was professional, efficient and customer friendly. Not only was the outside done quickly and all spider webs removed but the inside as well. He worked around us working and even our large Labrador. He sprayed my areas of ant concern particularly well. Our neighbor is notorious for ants. Kevin even sprayed our shed which is prone to paper wasps. Thank you Kevin for all the hard work.

We have used Fox since late spring 2020 for issues with ants and mice. Since they came out, the ants have been completely eliminated and the mouse problem has significantly decreased. During today's appointment, they placed additional bait stations and plugged exterior holes they found during their inspection. (He was also respectful of our property and health, wearing a mask and shoe covers.) After the visit, a supervisor contacted us by phone to review the service. He also stopped by later that day to double-check the work performed. He followed-up with another call to review his findings, and made recommendations to prevent future problems. The service tech (Phil?) and supervisor were both professional and helpful. I would certainly recommend Fox Pest Control!

I have got to say how AMAZING their technician, Eric Peterson is! I had ants, spiders, and mice, the whole shebang! He got rid of everything, had immense patience, a great attitude, and made sure I felt reassured in my own home again. This man exceeded all previous techs and set a high bar. You gotta give him a raise because he knows his stuff! Make sure he's my guy from now on plz!

These guys show up, rain or shine to take care of your house and any problems you have. I had Eric Peterson at my residence this weekend to take care of a bunch of ants in my kitchen. I woke up this morning to a bunch of dead ants on my floor. The only good ant, is a dead one! Good job sir!

Salesman and engineer Jacob explained in detail each biting bug, carpenter ant, flea, tick, regular ant, unwanted rodent and insects Fox would be getting away from my house and yard. He was able to tell me what products Fox used and how or if they affected pets and desired wildlife like bees. (They are pretty safe.) Fox products are used at children's hospitals and veterinarians' offices. Technicians Andrew and Wesley were on-time, quick, efficient. Gentleman all and decent prices. Application easy. Worth talking to.
